Average Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with potential overtime after the regular shift and/or on Saturdays based on business needs.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial equipment to support order processing, inventory movement, and storage of finished goods and supplies. This role ensures accurate order fulfillment, efficient material handling, and adherence to safety and operational standards to meet or exceed established KPIs.

Scope of Job:

The Forklift Operator supports daily warehouse operations including inbound receiving, outbound shipping, inventory control, and product storage. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and supporting overall distribution efficiency. The operator is expected to maintain equipment, follow standardized processes, and contribute to a safe and productive work environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

All responsibilities may be modified based on business needs.

  • Operate order picker and other powered industrial equipment for extended periods (6+ hours daily).
  • Perform pre-operational safety inspections of equipment and report any issues immediately.
  • Safely maneuver equipment in aisles, racks, and confined warehouse spaces with situational awareness.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and process outbound orders in alignment with company standards.
  • Perform stowing and replenishment of inventory in designated storage locations.
  • Load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse as required.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper scanning, labeling, and system updates.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies or quality issues.
  • Meet or exceed daily productivity and accuracy KPIs (e.g., units per hour/day).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area in alignment with 5S standards.
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine equipment care and report maintenance needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support distribution and customer needs.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven ability to safely operate an order picker and warehouse equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to follow instructions, processes, and standard operating procedures.
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and operational demands.


Education, Experience, and/or Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent level of education.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse or similar field.
  • Forklift certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Additional certifications (e.g., Certified Logistics Professional) are a plus.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Comfortable working at heights while operating order picker equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse machinery and equipment.
  • Must be able to hear and communicate effectively in a warehouse environment.

Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
