Quality Control Manager – Structural Steel

Eau Claire, WI.

Base Salary: $100,000–$130,000

We’re partnering with a top structural steel fabricator seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead site‑wide quality operations, champion continuous improvement, and serve as a key member of the plant leadership team.

CWI Required | ASNT VT Level II Required

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Plant level quality program from start to finish
• Ensure compliance with AISC standards , customer specs, DOT requirements, and regulatory guidelines
• Lead and develop QC Inspectors and oversee welder certifications
• Partner closely with Production, Project Management, Engineers, and DOT Inspectors
• Prepare for and successfully pass AISC audits
• Oversee inspections including welds, dimensions, coatings, fasteners, and materials
• Manage internal and outsourced NDT programs , including Magnetic Particle Testing
• Maintain and update the Quality Control Manual
• Resolve quality issues quickly and professionally with customers and stakeholders

Required

• Active Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
• ASNT VT Level II certification
• 5+ years leading a quality function in heavy manufacturing or structural steel
• Deep knowledge of welding, inspections, and quality documentation

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree (Quality, Engineering, Construction, or related)
• Bridge experience
