Job Description

Robert Half's client in Hayward, CA is looking for a temporary Office Coordinator to support daily office operations, shipping and receiving, and safety initiatives at our California location. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and is comfortable balancing administrative, operational, and compliance responsibilities.

What You’ll Do as the Office Coordinator

  • Manage front office activities: visitors, phones, mail, and general office support
  • Prepare documents, reports, presentations, and internal communications
  • Coordinate meetings, travel, expense reporting, and company events
  • Support senior leaders, HR, and cross‑functional teams
  • Handle shipping and receiving, including documentation, inventory checks, and packaging
  • Follow and support safety, compliance, and training initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records and strict confidentiality

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn internal systems

• Previous experience in office coordination, administrative support, reception, or a similar business support role.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, visitors, and leaders across different departments.

• Comfortable handling shipping, receiving, inventory tracking, and basic record maintenance with close attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.

• Ability to balance multiple responsibilities, adapt to changing priorities, and provide dependable support in a fast-paced environment.
