Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Job Summary

This remote LMFT position is ideal for a licensed therapist who enjoys helping clients improve relationships, strengthen communication, and work through personal or family challenges. You will provide therapy through telehealth, manage your clinical documentation, and support clients with practical, relationship-focused care.

Position Details

Location: Virginia
Work Setting: Remote / Telehealth
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $115,000–$120,000 per year with full benefits
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote therapy sessions with clients in Virginia
• Provide counseling for couples, families, and individuals
• Complete assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans
• Support clients with relationship concerns, family dynamics, emotional stress, communication issues, and major life changes
• Maintain a professional telehealth environment for every session
• Keep client records accurate, organized, and up to date
• Follow state licensing requirements and clinical best practices
• Participate in care coordination when needed

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
• Active Virginia LMFT license in good standing
• Previous clinical experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, or families
• Comfortable delivering care through telehealth platforms
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to manage a full-time clinical caseload
• Reliable internet connection and a private workspace for virtual sessions
