HF SInclair in Sinclair, WY is seeking a Laboratory Tech who would conduct physical and chemical testing on refinery process streams including intermediate, finished fuels and laboratory quality control samples. This position is accountable for certification of finished fuel in accordance with ASTM specifications and routine analysis of both hydrocarbon and aqueous samples using established analytical methods.

High School Diploma or Equivalent PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: Bachelors Degree in Chemistry preferred. Physical or Biological Sciences Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience working in an industrial laboratory.
Proficiency with spreadsheet and word-processing software applications. Good mechanical ability and understanding of operational principles of assigned areas laboratory testing instruments. Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, basic reading and writing skills.
Office based with up 10% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors, and driver based environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, and rotating equipment. Subject to all temperatures, weather, and varying road conditions. May be required to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and a rotating schedule required.
