Job Description

Pay Range:

$18.00 - $25.20

A successful candidates actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience skills training certifications and education.

HSHS St. Elizabeths Hospital is seeking an Emergency Dept. Technician ED Tech. The ED Tech II under the direction of a registered nurse assists in the care of patients by performing triage registration basic lab tests EKGs and related routine non-clinical nursing care. Able to obtain data and evaluate care needed and provide appropriate documentation relative to patient condition and care given. Greets assists and directs patients and visitors and monitors activity to establish a friendly caring environment.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma GED or related vocational training is required.

Experience Qualifications

  • 6 months of experience in an acute setting patient care role is required.
  • 6 months of experience in emergency trauma care is preferred.

Certifications Licenses and Registrations

  • EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) EMT-Basic EMT-Intermediate EMT-Paramedic active enrollment in EMT Paramedic program with IV training completion or CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) certification is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
